Can someone please fix this indexing issue? I don't know how this happened and I can't see a way that I can fix this. In the indexing, the Father and Mother's names have been attached to the wrong person! Please help.

Only records that have images can be edited by users because without the image, you cannot know what the record really says. For all we know, it was indexed perfectly fine and the actual record really does have the names backwards. And FamilySearch does not go back to try to find the specific record to check the indexing. They have enough work fixing collection wide problems with indexed records.

I would view this source as being correctly attached even though it appears as a hint on Carrie's profile as if the hinting engine is giving more weight to the sex and the relationship than to the name. Just click Not-A-Match on the hint and enter as the reason the problem here.

Indeed, if you examine this same record on Ancestry (Tina Rosann Hoff in the U.S., Social Security Applications and Claims Index, 1936-2007), you see

    Father: Carrie Benson

    Mother: Knut E. Ruble

That would seem to confirm that the original data has the parents backwards, and both Ancestry and FamilySearch correctly indexed it. So your best course of action is to do what @Gordon Collett suggested: Mark this hint as Not A Match and move on.

Interestingly, if you look at Ancestry's information about the collection it says:

    Source Information

Ancestry.com. U.S., Social Security Applications and Claims Index, 1936-2007 [database on-line]. Provo, UT, USA: Ancestry.com Operations, Inc., 2015.Original data: Social Security Applications and Claims, 1936-2007. (emphasis added)

    and continues farther down:

How can I get a copy of the original records?

The Social Security Administration makes copies of the original Social Security application form (the SS-5) available to third parties who request information on a deceased individual. The SS-5 form contains some additional information not found in the computer extracts in our database (such as the individual’s employer when he or she first applied for a Social Security number). It may also contain the individual’s actual signature.

The Social Security Administration charges $27.00 for each SS-5 form requested.

To request this information, use the Social Security Administration’s online request form. Be sure to include the Social Security number if known. Without the Social Security number, the fee is $29. Note that the online form has the option of requesting a computer extract of the Social Security card application for $16 (or $18 without the Social Security number). You should not need to request this - these extracts are the source records for this collection. (emphasis added)

So this reversal is in the Social Security Administrations computer files. It could be interesting if you have $29 to waste to see if the original paper form was filled out incorrectly by Tina or if the person who typed the paper form into the SSA computer database reversed her parents.
