(Bug?) Unable to add new sibling from record (when previously no siblings)
Hi, I’ve been noticing this issue happening for the past few weeks. When I am trying to add a sibling to the focus person in the source linker, if the focus person does not have any siblings yet, then the source linker doesn’t allow me to enter the Siblings section box when I drag and hover the name over it. I am able to drag the name completely from the Other section up to the Children section without the Sibling section ever being selected. It does this same thing whether the Sibling section is “open” i.e. expanded or not.
It is probably worth noting that I almost exclusively use mobile, and so I am not sure if this issue is only on mobile or if it also occurs on desktop.
You should be able to recreate this issue by finding a person (with at least one parent) with no siblings, and trying to add a sibling from some record in the source linker.
I am attempting to attach a screen recording of this. I will follow up in the replies with a screenshot if that doesn’t work.

I’d also like to correct what I said about recreating the issue to specify that the person you find with no siblings should be the focus person in the source linker.
Also I can’t tell if my video/photo is attaching. It seems as though it isn’t on my end. I haven’t really used the community forums for this site much before so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong in this regard.

Whether this is a bug that needs to be corrected or this is secondary to fundamental functioning of the source linker, someone else will have to address.
But have you tried moving one of parents of the child to be the focus person then adding the new individual as a child of the parents rather than as a sibling?
