Anyone know when we'll be able to add letters with diacritics to the names?

You can do this already as long as you select the correct language for the name. See this help article for instructions:
How do I enter a name from a different language into Family Tree?

In all these "quick" opportunities one cannot use diacritics

I should have been more clear. I'm not talking about Family Tree, but Name Review in AI indexing. I don't know how Family Search can leave those out. I guess Spanish isn't as bad as a lot of others, but I wonder what's going to happen with other languages (Europe, Russia, Finland) where they're not just diacritics but individual letters.

I put the Character Map (Windows computer) on my taskbar. I can use that to insert very many different foreign characters.

Thanks, [name removed]. I finally figured out how to do that.

This brings a question to mind about how the FamilySearch search engines use or don't use diacritics. I think that if I use a diacritic in a search it is treated as a non-diacritc when looking for indexed or full text search records. To be 'most correct' adding the diacritic would 'do no harm' when it comes to searches. Or at least it appears that way…

This thread from a couple of days ago may be helpful:

However @D. L. Matthews' Character Map idea above gets the prize for me! I had no idea that even existed.
