Why doesn't Tag People work?
When trying to tag a person's face in a photo, the frame around the face pops up for less than 1 second, then disappears. It's the same result no matter how many tagging attempts I make. The best I've been able to do is tag one person per day, but not even every day. It's the same issue with Firefox and Chrome browsers.
Further details: As I compare my Memory Viewer to your screen shots in the "Welcome to the Memory Viewer" screen, our screens do not match. In Chrome, my Memory Viewer does not show "Information" or "Tag People" in the right side panel. Also, my screen lacks the "Tag People" button under the Edit button. It only displays the "Adjust Image," "Re-set," and "Zoom in/Out" icons. Is my problem an anomaly, or is it more widespread?
The Memory Viewer in Firefox is worse, in that the FamilySearch ribbon at the top does not display at all.
I am using Windows 11 in a desktop pc that is less than 2 years old.
As a comment, I have used Memories > Gallery for many years. I have never had issues like this. I see that "Known Issues With the Gallery" have been in queue to be resolved for over a month.
This seems to be a far more problematic rollout/update than in past years, when considering that re-ordering images in Albums is not yet functional; and that suddenly my hundreds of previously posted images containing the logo & thus the URL of the scanner of my mobile device are about to be restricted and thus unusable. Wow…
Would it be possible to PLEASE revert Memories Gallery to its former functionality until the engineers can make their fixes and test them?
Thank you for your help,
Steven Watrous

I am so sorry for your struggles!
I am forwarding your tagging concern to our Engineers. A few other users have had this same problem—only able to tag about one person per day—but we are having a hard time isolating the issue (it works fine for me). I will message you privately about this issue.
Unfortunately, the How-to screen shots of the Memory Viewer are out-of-date. Those images are no longer a useful comparison. You are not an anomaly.
We ask for patience with our product and our Engineers. They are working hard to help!
