Private vs Public View - default settings

You recently noted a concern:

"When you upload a memory - at least for me - it seems to always default to PRIVATE instead of PUBLIC - - this is the opposite to the way it was - and you wont notice unless you are really paying attention.)

I just wanted to clarify this issue for all users.

When you upload any Memories with anyone that is "Living," the default "visibility" will be "Private." This includes if you are uploading to your own Gallery; the visibility will default to "Private." Yes, users will want to be aware of this!

However, if you are uploading Memories to a deceased person in the Tree, the default "visibility" will be "Public."

    Im uploading it to an album . . . not directly to a person.
    This is a change from how it was before.

    and in ref to private vs public
    I notice when using the NEW SELECT facility
    there is no option to mark selected items as public or private.
