Unable to install FS app

iPhone 8 does not allow an OS higher than 16, and to update the FS app, the OS 17 is required. So, every time I open the app, I get the following message — and sometimes more than once. Is there a way to get rid of the message? I am a FS support missionary and we had a guest call in today with the same question. Thanks.

I doubt that the developers would ever remove that warning. It's a rather gentle, even if you find id annoying, reminder that further development of the underlying Family Tree database may one day make it necessary for them to block older versions of the app from communicating with the database at all. It's preparing you for the day that you open the app and you get nothing but error messages if you try to do anything other than just view data.
