"List" view is incredibly slow

I recognize that I have a lot of memories on Family Search but it is terribly frustrating to have the functions work at snail pace or fail to open at all…

At roots tech I was warned that it would be a good idea to move many of my memories from the gallery to my archive. I moved 5698 so far and have 2983 still in the gallery. The gallery opened ok - is a little slow to open but finally did open. Opening the list view however was so slow I kept getting "this page is unresponsive" messages.

I am also curious as to why the list view (when it did finally open) is not in the same order as the memories in the gallery view. ???

I am teaching a class tomorrow on using Family Search Memories and I truly wished it all worked better. Can you give me hope that the opening time will improve in the future? Is there a limit to how many memories we can add to family tree before experiencing difficulties?

    @JulieVWilcox

    Thank you for reporting this problem.

    It is a known issue that too many memories can be hard to load in the Memory Gallery.

    I will share this latest concern with the engineers. I'll report back with their thoughts.

    Sorry, again, for the frustrating slowness.

    Thanks Julie, this info will help us to track down the problem. Our new Gallery should not be slower than the old one, but several users have reported that it is. We are working to correct this for you!

    As far the order goes, that may be because the List view has more options for ordering your memories. It was not staying in sync between Grid and List view though. I tested a fix for that today, and it worked, so the fix should be coming to you soon.
