How do I remove these people from my Private People queue?

I have people in Private People who need to be removed. I think the problem is that they were born in Syria and Libya.

James Alfred Saffron GS5N-9FD is husband to my 8c1r. His brother Nicholas Saffron

G6DN-ZVV. For some reason, their brother, Oscar, doesn't have the same problem.

Thank you.

I can not ell if these people are still living or not. However the answer is in the following knowledge article on FamilySearch. I was able to delete an individual from Private People but beware it also deletes them from FamilySearch completely.

I have 2 people in my Private People who are deceased. Both are born before 1900, and I even have a death date for one of them. (They were both born in Syria, as mentioned above.)

I can delete them, but that deletes them from the tree. I even tried deleting one and making a new record. He still showed up in my Private People.

When I try to request ordinances, it says each is a "Confidential Person." I think it is something to do with birthplace, rather than whether the person is living or not.

There are certain locations that are deemed to be politically sensitive, for want of a better term. Profiles with those locations are marked confidential for that reason.

So, do I Ieave them in my queue indefinitely or do I delete them? Which is the better way?

If they are a confirmed and sourced historical person that you have been working on - thus in 'your' Private People queue - leave them there until politics change and they can easily become part of the Family Tree again, and not lost.

I agree with Jack and the other contributers. Leave them unless they are just incorrect information and in the wrong place. When more information comes you may want them in the future. Have fun….

Good morning. Were you able to find the answer you needed? If we do not hear further discussions soon on the subject or more questions we will soon consider this topic closed.

I suppose so. It seems there should be a way to remove them from my queue for public viewing with the caveat that to complete ordinances permission must be granted. If is should die (I'm 74), does that mean that they will remain in my queue for 110 years and no one has access?

The only way of doing this would probably involve removing all references to Syria from their Vitals. You should be able to note the Syria connections elsewhere against their profiles, but it appears you certainly won't be able to solve the problem as long as the system is picking up on those Syria-based events (from their current vitals data).

Good morning Kent: I did find this knowledge article that may help to answer your question above about ordinance work. Temple work for restricted individuals.
