Portrait Photo Frustration

I'm trying to add a "Portrait Photo" to a person to show to the left of their name on their page. I uploaded a photo, but FamilySearch insists on blowing it up when I select it and doesn't let me shrink it down enough to fit. This is very frustrating and very non-intuitive, even for a computer engineer. Please help.

Hi @LloydGoss. Is this on mobile or the website? As for the website, I know it can be a little fussy and may take a moment to settle before it will let you adjust the window. Many times I have the zoom right, but then it snaps back to the default.

Here's the guide to edit a portrait, in the hope that helps you: https://www.familysearch.org/en/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-edit-a-portrait-photo-in-family-tree

what "drove" these changes? I get only three pictures of my memories gallery displayed on one page at a time which makes it hard to sort through the gallery of photos. Seems like this is "change for change sake" with not much value added to the user experience. …. sorry.
