Can't delete Discussion from Collaborate section

I'm trying to delete a Discussion that I started and has no comments from the Collaborate section on a profile. When I click the "delete discussion" link, it asks me if I'm sure and optionally to provide a reason. When I click "delete" from that second screen, it javascripts that discussion away, but when I refresh the page, it is still there, and no changes have been made to the person's changelog (unlike what I see when I delete a Note from that section).

The current help page for this feature, which was updated October 18, 2024, says that it is possible to delete a discussion that you added. However, I see from a thread two whole years ago that it appears to not be possible, despite what the Help Center says.

Can a moderator 1) delete the discussion from https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/collaborate/GQXC-FSQ as it is no longer relevant, and 2) either update the help page to reflect current policy, or submit a bug request to make the feature match its documentation?

I've deleted a few Discussions recently without a problem - even several that had comments. I had created the Discussions recently, but the comments were inappropriate and rude. It was easier to delete my discussions than deal with the unreasonable commenter.

Well, I've tried multiple times to delete this one (both with and without leaving a reason statement) with no luck. Maybe it's because this was just after a merge (the discussion was started on the deleted person), but that shouldn't make a difference since I was both the starter and the merger.

@JD Cowell I'll send this in to be looked at. Thanks for your patience while we work towards a resolution.
