Is there a way to make the tags not show?

First, I really appreciate the improvements that have been made for tagging people in a Memory image. Thank you!

Next, I'm wondering if there is a way to make the tags invisible after they have been made. Now that I am prompted to tag someone right away (entering the image from their Memories page), that tag makes it hard to read other information in the image. Is there a toggle—or can you make one—to make the tags not show so that the whole image is easily visible? (I am posting images of German parish records where the handwriting is crowded and crooked.)

It seems like this would be desirable for a family photo too, where you want to see everyone's faces and details.
