US Directories Part L "Married"

I am coming across a few "married" names in the directory. I am still assuming that we do not index the new husband due to the fact he might be listed under his last name elsewhere.

Example: Hitt, Hazel M married Wilbur K Buston

I seem to remember it being treated as Widowed. Has the rule changed and I should be indexing him or not?

I'd index the spouse. It does not state that Hazel is widowed.
