Chat on web site is not displaying conversation contents

This applies to the Family Tree web site (Chrome or Edge browsers). It does not affect the Android Family Tree app.

When I open Chat, the list of chats is displayed, but when I select an existing chat, no content is displayed in the conversation area. The text entry box and the usual buttons do appear below the conversation area. If I wait long enough, I may get lucky and the content may eventually appear. As I write this, my stopwatch app has just clicked over 30 minutes and there is still no content displayed. If I hover my mouse over a chat in the list, the most recent post to that chat may or may not appear as a pop-up, but it's quite erratic.

If I scroll to the bottom of the list of chats and click VIEW MORE, the spinning wheel appears and it may take minutes before the next tranche of chats is added to the list.

This has started in the last 12 hours or so. Is anyone else experiencing this behaviour?

There was an issue last week with the chats. We were ALL seeing red dots indicating a new chat, but no one had one. That was fixed after about 36 hours or so. You may be seeing an artifact of that problem.

Normal service seems to have resumed.

Methinks I spoke too soon. The problem's back after I logged off and logged on again after a couple of hours.
