Family spans more than one image

When I start indexing, I often notice a partial family at the top of the image. How can I ensure that the entire family has been properly indexed? Can I view the entry form somehow and correct it if the whole family isn't listed?

    If you are talking about a census, there's only one page per batch and the remainder of the family is indexed in a separate batch; plus pages are numbered so that researchers/descendants can look at both the preceding and the next page to complete the family record

    Thanks, Mary Ellen. I don't think I was being clear. What I'm asking is, how can I be sure that another indexer has indexed an entire family that spans two images? When I open a batch that has previously been started, I often notice that the indexer has (incorrectly) started indexing a partial family that had started on a previous image. That makes me think that the entire family was not indexed. Is there a way to make sure or to correct the previous indexing to include the entire family?

    Project Instructions and the Example given don't match and I believe the PI are incorrect - for all the 12+years I've been indexing, we've always been told not to index reference images; that they are indexed in other batches. Some of us have called FS support and received opposite responses or no answers at all for other questions we've asked. Researchers should know to check more than one page of a census to be sure they find everyone in the family, to me, it's like reading only one page or chapter in a book and expecting that page to have all the information on the subject. Let's tag @Ashlee C. for help —- my concern is that due to the conflicting information, we'll end up re-indexing the entire project or we'll send back an inaccurate product to the record holders - Canadian govt.
