I would like to express my gratitude for the hard work you are doing. Not only does it take a lot of time and organization to record all the information you obtain, but there are a lot of loop holes to jump through just to get access. I see some users of this site complaining that the information they need is not here. If research like this is so easy they should dive in and do it themselves. It would take me a life time to track down some of the information you have found and decrypted on my behalf. However, I also know there are gaps because my government denies access to individuals. That is for privacy. I for one am very, very thankful for all you have and are doing. ❤️

I am looking for information on Elizabeth "Betsey"Mattice Lynch.. Elizabeth "Betsey was born on August 1833  in Blenheim, Schoharie, New York, USA . She died in1916 in Gloversville, New York. I have no recorded of her mother who died in childbirth . Her father was John Ingold Mattice. He was born in

Died in 1884..She married Thomas Peter Lynch in New York. I am looking for her mothers name. They were members of the Reformed Dutch Church.

You would be wise to offer an option to add to the basic USA membership access to Mexico and/or Canada at an additional low rate… maybe $40 annually for either.

I believe you would make a lot of money by giving current members an option that is less expensive than buying the international package for those of us who just need to access Canada or Mexico our two larger neighboring countries. I believe that you would also increase membership by promoting that to prospective customers.

Please could someone try to get as many missing BMD records from the Catholic Churches in India before they are all destroyed by priests or termites.

At least 30% of the records didn't get back to Britain.

My name is Aliza, I am a student in Canada. I am inquiring about a collection where most of indexed records were removed from familysearch at the end of December 2023.

I believe some sort of update or reapplication for permissions are needed but I don’t know who to contact about it.

This is regarding this specific collection: Philippines, Lingayen-Dagupan Catholic Archdiocese Parish Registers, 1615-1982 (https://familysearch.org/search/collection/1646454)

Before December the list of indexed records was 1,186,401 in this collection and now the list of indexed records is 199,293. That means that almost 1,000,000 records were removed.

Even the records that I have attached to my family tree already cannot be found anymore unless I use the direct links, and even then there is a lock beside the document that didn’t exist before.

Do you know how I could access these records again? This is the only collection where I can find my ancestors. I would do anything to get them back.

I’m aware that the Philippines has strict laws on privacy, which is why I think they are now gone. I think at the end of the year some sort of agreement expired. I don’t know who to talk to for this to get looked into. 

It's not just this specific Philippines collection, many others like "Philippines, Catholic Church Records, 1615-1985” (https://familysearch.org/search/collection/2861657) had 6,222,375 indexed records in December 2023 and now it's only 6,013. Another 7 different Filipino genealogy collections have millions of indexed files removed. I have no idea what is going on or if this is temporary.
