Collection Filter

It appears that quite a few Collections need to be added for images that appear in the Filtered Results list. For example the Augusta Maine Muster Roll is presently categorized as coming from Maine Wills & Deeds

And in the same vein…. I appreciate that this is an 'experiment', but I have to offer additional thoughts about future 'tweaks' before FamilySearch goes much further forward with this and potentially expands the number of images processed. In my opinion, before proceeding the Collections filter needs to be better aligned with the Collections shown in the Explore Images list.

This would entail creating Collection Filters beyond the pretty broad Collections now implemented and begin using Collection Filters that are more specific as to place, type of record, and date range. If a Collection already exists as shown in the Explore Images list [e.g. Maine, Aroostook County, Probate Records, 1837-2007] then use that in Full Text Search as the name of the Collection Filter.

A new catch-all Collection Filter may be needed [e.g. United States Miscellaneous] to 'tag' the images swept up when the various rolls with disparate items were processed [see preceding comment]

Once you have selected a collection, then you have the opportunity to add date and location filters.
