Canada—1921 Federal Census [MQKR-NXB]

@IsabelaMcMullen Hi, I've found several of these. What this means is that the person had immigrated in 1911 but at the time of the census (1921) he/she had not been naturalized. Naturalization is the process by which an immigrant becomes a citizen after meeting certain requirements. An example is John Smith immigrated in 1911 but in 1921 when the census was taken, he had not finished the process of becoming a Canadian citizen. Any naturalization steps are found on separate documents which may or may not be indexed, depending on the wants/needs of the government holder of such records. I only wish FS would allow more than 5 days in which to finish the 50 entries per page. Enjoy, Mary 😎
