I sent a query to FS help, but I think my query was misunderstood, see below:

"Individual: William Potter, b. abt 1725, London (or near there), convicted of stealing in 1. London, Transported to Annapolis, Maryland, America, arrived 1752.
1. Books by Peter Wilson Coldham:1. United States and Canada, Passenger and Immigration Lists Index, 1500-1900s. ISBN 1886914567
2. Bonded Passengers to America
The reference I ran across for one of these was Vol. 3 London to America, 1656-1775, p. 179.
I would greatly appreciate some help tracking this man down.

These books are apparently at FHL in Salt Lake? How do I access or is it possible to get a look up? Would there have been records kept of these people in America and where would they be found if they exist?

Thanks, Bonnie Samuel

@bonniesamuel1 FamilySearch in Salt Lake has discontinued its free look-up service.

I first recommend checking WorldCat for copies of those books in a library close to you. For "Bonded Passengers to America," 223 libraries are listed as holding a copy. https://search.worldcat.org/title/9213426

"The complete book of emigrants in bondage, 1614-1775" by the same author is listed in only 1 library, but not all libraries are members of WorldCat. My local library is one of the top genealogy libraries in the US, so I checked their catalog, and they hold a copy. Check your local library and ask them for suggestions of a nearby option, if they don't have a copy.

    Hope this helps.
