Locating Robert McCafferty

Hello,
I have been looking for any census or birth records for a Robert McCafferty before 1897. Everything after is accounted for. Here's helpful info:
Born 24 May 1869 in State Line, Indiana
Father born in Scotland, Mother in Missouri
Lived in Denver, Colorado as of his Chicago wedding on 22 Nov 1897
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Mind sharing his FamilySearch ID?
Do you know his parents or siblings names?

I usually don't add to the FamilySearch tree, but I did find his ID:MR95-84Q. I'll add some info I have to it.
There aren't any parent or sibling names that I know of, other than the parents' birth locations based on censuses. It's like Robert didn't exist before 1897 within the paper trail.
