When you open a given persons record it allows you to follow if corrections are made by clicking on the star - it would be beneficial to show who else is following that record.

This is already available on the Following list (available on the Family Tree menu, or go directly to https://www.familysearch.org/tree/following/ ). Use the Options button to make sure that View By is set to Person. Then for any person you are following, you can click the 3-dot menu. One of the options on the menu that pops up will be something like "5 People Following"; choosing that will show everyone who is following that person. You can click on one of those user names to chat with that user.
