I access the FamilySearch Catalog most days, usually many times every day. Today, for the first time, there is a banner about an update to the catalog with a link to an announcement/article dated 10 Nov 2023.

@Rhonda Budvarson You're welcome. My purpose in posting it was that we have been begging for information for months, to no avail. And then that appeared with no notice and, in fact, appeared after it was several weeks old. Communication is key, but it seems to be lacking.
