The "record hints" and descendancy charts

When I try to add record hints on a family member on a descendancy chart, it does not show when they have been added. Example: Gail Glasser had 5 record hints and I could not tell which 3 I had already added. Nance Kohlert

It sounds like you're talking about the Descendancy tree view: https://www.familysearch.org/tree/pedigree/descendancy

When you use the icons for record hints to attach (or dismiss as Not a Match) the record hints, the descendancy view is not automatically updated. You can use your browser's refresh button to update the view, and then you'll see an updated status for the record hints. Unfortunately that also resets your context (the number of generations shown, any expansions you've done, and where you've scrolled to). So you'll probably want to do a browser refresh quite rarely, since you'll then need to do some steps to get back to where you were.
