How to request adding probate records for New York State to familysearch.org

I would like to see more searchable probate records for counties in New York State. For instance, probate records for Steuben County only go through 1869. It would be extremely helpful if more records were available beyond this time. How does one go about requesting something like this (aside from visiting the county office in person)? Will more records be digitized in the future? Thanks.

FamilySearch can only do what a city/county/state permits or requests. For example, some organizations may contact FamilySearch asking that certain records be filmed, as a matter of preservation, but may not authorize FamilySearch to index those same records.

@JenGen465 FYI - the catalog has not been updated in over 2 years. You might check the Images database for Steuben. There are some more recent probate records listed there. https://www.familysearch.org/records/images/beta
