How can I make them understand my mother has not yet passed on?

I see some distant cousins I have never met started our family at some point. They have my mother listed incorrectly as deceased in 1930. She was born in 1936. If she died in 1930, how could I have been born in the 70's??

I wrote to staff & their reply was something along the lines of people giving false documentation every day, so we will stick with the lie instead of investigating for the truth.

Can anyone help me get them to understand that the information is incorrect. There is no death certificate because she is not dead.

Thank you,

Ouida

The FamilySearch Family Tree is fully open-edit. You can change the dates and details.

Once you do that, you will no longer be able to see that profile, since only the person who created a profile for a living person can see it. You can then create a living profile for your mother in your private space, in order to connect to her deceased ancestors. You will find step-by-step instructions in this Help Article.
