I am updating the plot map for this cemetery just outside Jefferson. Each month, I write a brief article for our church newsletter (St. John's Lutheran, Jefferson) to highlight someone buried in the cemetery or something unique about it.

For next month's article, I hope to write about the two men who donated the land for the cemetery and the first church building: Nic Bayreuther and Karl Layritz. I have documentation about the latter man, but Bayreuther just seems to disappear. FamilySearch does have an entry in Jefferson County for the marriage of Johan Karl Oswald Baireather whose father is listed as Johann Niclaus Baireather. This is as close as I can come to the name of the missing man. There are other Bayreuthers buried in nearby cemeteries. However, in most cases their ancestors are not listed.

Can anyone assist me in locating more information about Nic Bayreuther? Thanks!

I tried a search in Ancestry and received zero results.

Please confirm this is regarding the following person:

    Jose Brigido Medrano Hernandez (8 October 1928 – 27 March 2002) [G8FV-B9L]
