How can I get an indexed name corrected if it has been marked uneditable?
Anne Irwin's name was indexed Anna Execoin because of unusual handwriting style on a marriage certificate. Here is the link to the image. Is it possible to get the name corrected?

This is a case where I really cannot blame the indexer for misreading the name: the first letter is definitely E, not I; the 'r' looks nothing like the 'r's in Martha, Irish, Ireland, Robert, or Jorgensen; and the 'w' doesn't look anything like the ones in Iowa and white.
FS has said that they are continually working on expanding index corrections to more indexes, but until/unless it gets to this collection, the best you can do is console yourself: despite the error, the index served its purpose, because you found the record.
