How do I keep to a set magnification when using Images?

When using images in general (e.g. via link in Catalog), once I have set a magnification level this is retained when I move from image to image. However, when using "Images", every time I move forward a frame the image reverts to a default size, so I constantly have to increase / decrease the magnification. Is there any way of making the size stick, as with when viewing pages outside of "Images"?

See https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QHV-B3G2-4QWZ?i=51&cat=597888. Increase magnification, then and move to next image. Compare this to the behaviour when doing this from https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QHV-B3G2-4QWZ?view=explore&groupId=TH-7771-101407-3308-68

    One of many, many reasons to avoid using Images. Both you and your hapless equipment will be far healthier and happier.

    (Yeah, sorry, I know you're hoping for something more useful than "just stick with the catalog's viewer".)

    I have had contact with the engineers regarding this issue and here is their reply:

    "Hi all, we appreciate your thoughts and time spent using our website. Our engineering team are currently working on a fix for this zoom level problem. Stay tuned for that to be improved over the next few weeks! Thanks!"

    As I get more updates, I will let you know. Thanks for your patience as they get this resolved!

    No, can't say I was too optimistic of a positive piece of advice here.

    The engineers have certainly got a lot of work on their hands if they are to make "Images" more usable - let alone thinking of phasing out the current / "old" image viewer.

    1st world problem. I prefer increasing magnification - than flying to where ever to view the image. It really doesn't bother me - click. But I expect the engineers might get to the request - some time.

    I don't think it will help - but have you tried increasing you browser zoom setting?

    @genthusiast

    I brought this up as "Images" still seems to be under development. Ideally, there could be a dedicated "Group" (as with the New Person Page one) so users could present their views on a positive way forward, as it is in a poor state, at present. Worryingly, it has been suggested that the (now two years locked) Catalog will not be revised and Images will be the main option for searches of material in the FamilySearch database.

    On the specific issue, my problem has been in having to reset the magnification every time I move a "frame" forward when scrolling through a film. If I am browsing through a couple of hundred images, this is a real pain, although - no - no big deal if I'm just checking out a few records from the film.

    Being not too computer savvy, I hadn't considered adjusting browser settings.

    Paul, mine also reset when I move to a new image. I will see if I can find out if this is intended or a bug.
