Do index corrections to one census page propagate to other pages?
I am finding that a lot (maybe all) "Event Place" records of the 1870 census for DeSoto County, Mississippi, have been indexed as "De Soto, Clarke, Mississippi, United States", which is a town on the other side of the state.
I've corrected the one record on which my ancestor appears. Will this correction propagate to other pages as well?
"Event Place (Original)" is correctly indexed as "Township 5 Range 6, De Soto, Mississippi, United States"

When there is an "original" location and a different, but similar, location, that is usually an indicator of the placename standardization problem.

@WS86 Thanks for spotting the wide-spread misidentificatio of DeSoto County, Mississippi in the 1870 US Census. I will get it over to the team that is working on these errors. Can't predict how long it might take for a correction to be in place. I see corrections happening weekly, but there are a lot of them.
