FSC Leaders – can you find your FSC in CDOL?
FSC leaders – please help me determine if we can see our FSCs in CDOL yet.
FamilySearch help center documents state that FSC leaders can see the CDOL entry for their FSC. (Article Id: 6289, March 13, 2023)
I am an FSC leader. I can log into CDOL. I could previously see our FSC entry, but then that was broken. This problem was discussed in the community in a post titled “CDOL.”
In this post, Greg Gibson said on 7 March, “Center leaders who are set up correctly in CDOL with the Temple and Family History Consultant - Family History Center calling should be able to access CDOL and see centers and related units now.”
After that post, Elder Richins said on 7 March, “Yes, we have verified the sending from non-church email accounts and STFHC-FSC can now view the CDOL.”
I posted my search results, showing that I still could not find our FSC. Elder Richins posted showing that he can find my FSC.
It has been 12 days, and I still cannot find my FSC on the CDOL. However, I can find an entry for myself.
I would like to have a sampling of FSC leaders check CDOL to see if they can find their FSC. This will take you about 5 minutes. I hope to have responses from 10 leaders who can find their FSC’s CDOL entry and 10 who cannot find their FSC’s entry.
Instructions to search for your FSC in CDOL:
· Go to cdol.churchofjesuschrist.org
· Log in with your church account. If you can’t log in, then perhaps your stake clerk has entered your calling incorrectly.
· Enter your FSC’s unit number into the search box and hit Search
· Enter your FSC’s official name into the search box and hit Search. Our FSC name, for example, is “San Jose California.”
· If your FSC comes up in your results, click on the link to verify that you can see the hours and days information
· Note: If you search for yourself in CDOL, you should find yourself as an FSC Leader in your Stake. That says that you are entered as the leader of your FSC in CDOL.
Respond by leaving a comment to this posting, giving your FSC name and success at searching for your FSC and viewing its entry.

Please understand that LCR is replacing the access to CDOL. As such those previously known as STFHC-FSC's will have their own editing rights and will be able to make all needed changes to your center information. This will take a fair amount of time. As the various programs are developed and implemented there will be issues that must be resolved before the next piece is turned on. This indeed will take many weeks. But when completed you will have control of every piece of what was in CDOL but will now reside in several smaller locations with better security and a much easier interface. The next step in this development is responding to the email sent to your center email about allowing a CO-Host or Host if you have not claimed your Business Google FSC.

To summarize what I have learned from this thread:
Several FSC leaders cannot see their FSC in CDOL
No FSC leaders have posted that they can see their FSC in CDOL
Elder Richins has explained why seeing our FSC in CDOL is irrelevant, as the information formerly stored there is being moved, but it is going to take from weeks to months for this to all be implemented and working.
My only interest in seeing my FSC's CDOL entry was in helping to debug why I can't get the closed days for my FSC updated in the FSC locator. I think Elder Richin's answer implies that we will not be able to get the FSC locator updated until the process he describes is complete.
I have marked the question as answered by Elder Richins.
I think this means that I should report to my stake president not to worry about CDOL and the FSC locator information, and that I will fix our FSC closed days when the new process is complete and working.
@Ken Richins - NAO Tech Support Lead is my conclusion correct?

Announcement! Success in updating FSC days and hours!
I have finally succeeded in having the service hours of our FSC changed on the FSC Locator on FamilySearch. This is how I did it.
I sent an email from my personal email account at Comcast.net to DL-FSC-Info@familysearch.org on the evening of 3 Apr 2023. On 4 Apr 2023, I received an email as I had requested from the person who did the update for our FSC hours and days. He did the update and emailed me just 12 hours after I sent the email request. He said:
- “We have updated the information, as requested. Please allow up to a few days for the information to show up on the Center Locator.”
Approximately 2 days after his email, I tested the Center Locator for our center and received the updated entry 12 times out of 12 times.
I really believe that our FSC’s hours and days have been fixed in the Center Locator. I think that we can ignore CDOL for now as Elder Richins has suggested.
YMMV.

@Dean T. Lindsay I logged into CDOL and attempted to search by out FSC number--3339971--but it came back with "No Results" under unit. I then entered my name to search in that manner, and it came back with me as the Family Search Coordinator (as well as a couple historical positions). However, clicking on the hyperlink for Family Search Coordinator did not produce any of the information for the FSC or pertaining to mailing address (for printer supplies) or other information as included in the Historical Position hyperlinks.
Unable to reach FSC in CDOL via any search method, therefore unable to determine if the information is correct. However, can ascertain that CDOL does not contain accurate/complete information for me as the FSC "Coordinator".

I can log in to CDOL.
FSC unit number search - no results.
FSC name search - no results (for Baltimore Inner Harbor).
Search for "Baltimore" - results are Baltimore MD stake, Baltimore MD mission, and Baltimore YSA ward.
Opening the Baltimore stake there are no FSCs listed, though the stake has 2. All FSC coordinators are correctly listed on the Organizations and Positions tab. Clicking on my own name, the only contact info listed is my personal email and my position is FSC coordinator (not stake T&FH consultant - FSC).

I get exactly the same results as Dana Chou, substituting "Columbus Georgia" for the Stake, and "Columbus Georgia" for the FSC. I'm listed by name as FSC coordinator, but clicking on my name only returns my position name as FSC coordinator, and my unit (Columbus Georgia Stake), along with my email as the only contact information (plus one historical calling).
I cannot recall who told me this, though it was someone who, at the time, seemed to be a likely person to have sufficient knowledge to make the statement that it is a known technical glitch.
I will add that the Columbus Georgia FSC is not listed as an "Associated Unit" under the Columbus Georgia Stake - only the six wards and three branches in the Stake. I've sampled other stakes in our coordinating council and none of them show any of their FSCs either.
None of the above has changed in at least a month since I first discovered the sudden inability view 100% of the FSCs across the U.S. earlier in February. At that time I was beginning to be involved in a project involving all of the FSCs in two coordinating councils and needed contact info for all of them. I managed to easily obtain all of those in the Atlanta Coordinating Council, but when I went to find the Atlanta North Coordinating Council, ALL of the FSCs had suddenly disappeared across the U.S. and presumably everywhere else (that was probably still in early February, no later than mid-February).
As of the date of this post, I am listed (copied and pasted) as:
Callings FamilySearch Center Coordinator
Temple and Family History Consultant--FamilySearch Center
Additionally, when I went in to change our FSC hours to add additional hours, it changed only the morning hours on that day (to add an additional hour that was never submitted), with no addition of the new evening hours. A call to Support (which has been listed as an alternate way to update hours) did not result in any correction.

I missed posting the FSC associated with my comments, Killeen Texas Stake Family Search Center.

Thank you, FSC Leaders!!! This is exactly the type of data which I hoped to collect from a variety of different FSC Leaders so that we could see if there is a pattern in who can find, or not find, their FSC in CDOL.
Other FSC Leaders who have not yet responded, please follow my instructions and comment on your experience!

From the Morristown NJ FSC:
1) tried CDOL from home: missing the FSC entry (but not our unit, stake, etc.)
2) tried CDOL at the FSC: missing the FSC entry (but not our unit, stake, etc.)
How are we to check whether our hours are correct????

RLW/Evergreen,
You can check the hours by going to the map that shows the locations of all the FSCs and FamilySearch Affiliate Libraries. Zoom in, click on your FSC, and a window will pop up showing your days/hours.
Also, just in case you end up being an exception to what almost everyone else is experiencing, there is another way of trying to find your FSC. In the CDOL search bar, type in the name of your stake, and look at its main page. Then select the 3rd tab at the top just under the large-print name of your stake with its unit number - click "Associated Units." You will first see the "Assigned Mission" for your stake, then the "Assigned Temple" for your stake, then the "Child" units (wards, branches, and - if listed - your FSC). Either your FSC is there, or it is not. If not available by using the above method besides typing in the name of the FSC itself as a separate search, you're experiencing the same thing that most all of the rest of us are experiencing.

I tried that -- it's still not there.

Brother Lindsey,
I just got off a long and frustrating call with Global Services Desk. Literally, what they show as my calling starting back in 2018 (correct date) as FSC "Consultant" (used to be the old "Stake Temple and Family History Consultant -- Family History Center"), has been shifting on the Church website all day today, depending on whether I look at LCR or on my own membership account where it lists my callings. Currently (late 20 March 2023) I am seeing the two following callings listed for me under my own membership information (clicking on my photo at the top right corner once logged in):
Stake Temple and Family History Consultant--FamilySearch
Temple and Family History Consultant--FamilySearch Center
However, when I go to Leader and Clerk Resources using the nine little squares next to my log-in photo at the top right, it shows as follows:
Christopher Richard Bieneman Schmink
Temple and Family History Consultant--FamilySearch Center
The Global Services Desk person said he logged in as if he was my stake president, and I'm currently showing as "Stake Temple and Family History Consultant -- FamilySearch Center Coordinator"
Earlier today I saw somewhere on the main Church website (can't recall now where) the word "Coordinator" added to my calling, yet that's no longer showing in either LCR or on my membership info listing. Apparently there have been changes going on back and forth all day long.
And the Global Services representative said that there is a major transition going on with FamilySearch in which much of this is being transferred to FamilySearch for control through LCR, and that once it's in LCR it then populates CDOL, which we cannot even see currently.
Perhaps there is someone at the Church level that can sort all that out and figure out from the conflicting information and data listings where the actual programming problem is. But it certainly appears to be some conflicting information within the program associated with our callings, what we have access to, etc., and it appears that they're not even accurately reading in the FamilySearch tech support people as to what's correct (or the possibility that there are two different things going on!!). I'm wondering if there are two different calling titles for FSC directors/leaders/coordinators/whatever we are, that are being used as "acceptable," with each one having different access permissions.
Regardless, it's a mess at HQ level, not (just) in what stake clerks are entering, since most of our callings were very recently changed to the new "FamilySearch Center" designation from "Family History Center." That certainly wasn't done by 3500 stake clerks across the globe.
Sorry for the length, but hopefully all that nonsense becomes helpful to somebody. There's some programming reason why some of us lost the ability to see any FSCs in CDOL about a month ago, yet some can still see them.

Hi Bro. Schmink,
That is just wild! After reading your post above, I did some looking.
In LCR, I am "Temple and Family History Consultant--FamilySearch Center"
In the online ward directory, I am "Stake Temple and Family History Consultant--FamilySearch"
Yesterday I could find myself in CDOL, but not our FSC. Today I can't find myself or our FSC in CDOL any more. However, when I could find myself yesterday, "Coordinator" was the last word in the title (although I don't remember the entire title). CDOL is the only place I have ever seen "Coordinator" added to my title.
One of the reasons for this thread is so we can see if any FSC Leaders can see their FSC on CDOL. Over on the "CDOL" thread, Greg Gibson said on 7 March, “Center leaders who are set up correctly in CDOL with the Temple and Family History Consultant - Family History Center calling should be able to access CDOL and see centers and related units now.”
So far there have been no FSC Leaders who have left a comment saying that they can find their FSC on CDOL as Bro. Gibson has stated is possible as of 7 March. On the other hand, if it is literally programmed to allow only those FSC Leaders with the title "Temple and Family History Consultant - Family History Center" to see their FSC, then no FSC Leader will ever see their FSC, as that title is incorrect, as it is missing "stake" at the front, and is also obsolete as it has "Family History", not "FamilySearch" after the dash.
I hope that FSC Leaders continue to check for their FSC and leave a comment to this string, so that we can establish that none of us can find our FSCs.

Seeing the latest comments I checked CDOL again just now.
Under the stake positions there is no longer a category for T&FH, so there's no list of FSC coordinators. Searching for my name there are no results.
Still no FSCs listed under organizations, still no results for search for FSC unit number or name.

Brother Lindsay,
I think I would have said the same thing I'm about to say earlier, but after my very extended (going 'round in circles) with the Global Services Desk person today, I couldn't agree more with you. We've been repeatedly told (especially by Elder Richins in our monthly meetings), that the lack of notifications/emails, etc., pertaining to our callings is because clerks input the calling titles manually, and they are not the standardized calling - that they should ALWAYS use the drop-down menu they have for calling title selections.
And now having seen multiple versions of my calling title while signed into my own Church account page, while the GSD representative told me that he logged in as if he was my stake president and confirmed I am still listed as a "Stake Temple and Family History Consultant--FamilySearch Center," which is different (as you also see with yours) from the callings listed when I looked at my own Church account, I fully agree with you that we need to just wait and let this whole confusion be sorted out by Salt Lake. They are literally making changes that I saw early today but that had changed again by late this afternoon. He further confirmed the date I began to serve in that capacity (5 years ago), and said that the title of my calling had not been changed in that entire period.
I then pointed out to him that the current title he reports seeing has been changed from "Family History Center" to FamilySearch Center." He tried to say that clerks are responsible for changing those callings. He seemed uncomfortable with the suggestion that someone at the Church level had likely programmed that change to "FamilySearch" for all of us to maintain uniformity with the new terminology, and stated I should go work it out with my stake clerk! (I decided it was best to smile, thank him for his time, and be done with the call which had lasted the better part of an hour with its multiple circles.)
Before the conversation was over, the GSD representative did say that the Church main system is transferring a significant amount of all that over to FamilySearch's system (instead of saying "the Family History Department"), and that there are problems with different parts of the system talking to each other. That will necessitate a lot of programming changes - and likely programming errors needing to be fixed. As mentioned, things were even changing during the day today in what we could see (he blamed it on me needing to clear my cache - which I set to automatically clear when I close my browser and had done multiple times during the day)! We could be chasing unlisted changes if we go to stake clerks and ask them to enter much of anything right now while things are not static.
I'm just leaving it alone and when or if I can ever see my own FSC in the system, I'll smile, shake my head a bit, and be glad that's restored. (By the way - he also said CDOL is populated by whatever is entered in the LCR system, for whatever that's worth.)
Confused? I don't think we're the only ones. Different departments and sections aren't even on the same "page" as the saying goes. 🙃

Ashburn Virginia FSC is not listed, by name or number, including variants of the stake name, nor am I listed. I used to be sometime last year, but not now.

FYI. San Mateo California FSC has the same problem. No entry found via any of the searches, nor associated with our stake. I cannot find myself either. There was a time in the past (months ago) when I could not log in to the CDOL at all, but that has obviously changed, even though I am not listed in any search results.

If FS developers would work on needed applications, including LCR, CDOL, improving search accuracy, etc., instead of doing their facebooky fads rearrangements of FS views in their vacuum silos, the Church could get IT things fixed a lot sooner.
CDOL for my stake only shows the stake presidency, stake patriarchs, and the two facilities positions - stake building representative and technology specialist, in addition to the wards with corresponding bishoprics. "Working" with GSD is an exercise in patience and futility. I filled out that survey and last year could see the center, hours, etc., but not now. In the directory, I am listed as Stake Temple and Family History Consultant--FamilySearch. While I can access CDOL, there is no access to LCR beyond general membership access.
Maybe next year there may be a functional CDOL, but as is clearly demonstrated today, it is irrelevant.

@Ken Richins - NAO Tech Support Lead I have not received the email (TX_Killeen@FamilyHistorymail.org) you refer to in your comment. When was it sent? Can it be sent again?

@Ken Richins - NAO Tech Support Lead
I have also not receive that email at our email address: GA_columbus@familyhistorymail.org . Nor have I received a single confirmation of receipt for our monthly reports since May of 2020. The only thing that ever shows up in that mail box is advertising from Legacy.

On the subject of monthly report confirmation emails, (not to hijack this thread, if followup on the email subject is needed, start a new thread), back about when you mention no longer receiving them, I didn't get them anymore either. I found that they were ending up in a spam folder that I did not know existed. Here's the left sidebar of Gmail:
You see the More at the bottom? Click it -- it is hiding the Spam folder, as shown below. All of the report confirmation emails were there. I marked them as not spam, and ever after they have been delivered to the Inbox.

Unfortunately, it's not there either. I just recently submitted my February report, and the spam folder says, "Hooray, no spam here!" Thanks much for the try, however.

I routinely receive the Monthly Report Confirmation emails; have in the past and received it for my February report as well. However, I DID NOT receive the email that Elder Richins referred to in his post above; that is the one that stated, "The next step in this development is responding to the email sent to your center email about allowing a CO-Host or Host if you have not claimed your Business Google FSC." Since it implied action was required on my/our part, I was requesting that the email be sent again so I understand what I need to do.

I also never received the letter referenced by Elder Richins.

The letters STARTED being sent on March 20, 2023, and could take a few weeks to get to everyone. They are sent first to those that have claimed their FSC as an owner. Those will not be notified until much later in the year.

Of course, the remaining problem is that if your actual open hours do not match what is in CDOL (and thus what our patrons see when they look at the map), then our patrons are being misled. Fortunately, we got our updates in place before the current fiasco occurred. But in the past when when our hours did not match CDOL, we inconvenienced people and got complaints! I hate to think that it will be months before we can properly update the hours. We do update the hours on our web page, but since a search for an FSC takes you to the map, and the map pops up the CDOL hours (as well as the link to the web page), why would anything think that they have to go to the web page when the so-called "correct hours" are already in front of them?!

I just checked the March 15 Center Chatter notes. It has a high-level description of the rollover from CDOL to the new systems. It appears to say that, in the meantime, if you have changes that need to be made to the CDOL info, then email those changes to DL-FSC-Info@familysearch.org

I logged into cdol.churchofjesuschrist.org.
I searched for 478121, and for Newport Beach, CA. Nothing
Then I searched for Newport Beach and got the Mission, 2 Wards (neither were mine), our Stake and our Temple. No FSC.

As of last night's Pacific Time Zone Zoom meeting (5 April), I cannot find our FSC through any method mentioned by anyone, including someone that messaged me in chat to say he found our center (complete with the erroneously "corrected" hours I submitted twice). He did not say if what he posted in Chat was from CDOL or from the map locator. But if he could see our center in CDOL and I can't (along with a lot of other people still, the system is still essentially broken. I'm doing aerial refueling and just sitting in a holding pattern.... 😉

This is a copy of a posting I made to this thread earlier today. After posting it, I marked it as an answer for the question, and so it was placed at the very top as the 3rd of the "best answers" for the question. However, I realize that many will immediately come to the bottom to read the next post, so I have copied it here as well.
YMMV.
