John Paul Ball Jr LZVT-FRG & Ensign John Ball MQQ5-BY4 are the same person???
How do I determine if John Paul Ball Jr 25 July 1746 – 9 January 1829 LZVT-FRG and Ensign John Ball (Ensign is a military rank-not part of his name) 25 July 1746 – 14 December 1814 MQQ5-BY4 are the same person. When I review the information, much of it is the same but then there are also so vast differences. How do I know what is actually correct?

Thank you for posting a question in the Community. When you look at these two persons, you can easily see that they have different death dates, and different parents. They are each connected with two different versions of a spouse, Mary Ann Thrift. You will want to check out the sources and straighten up the records for the two versions of Mary Ann. Some of the connections to one of these persons are likely incorrect. In any case, it is highly unlikely that these two John Paul Balls are the same person.
