resources available to assist deaf patron

A deaf sister was baptized a few week ago and is interested in pursuing her family history. We are doing the best we can, but are there research aids or translation aids that can help us as we work with her? Any ideas would be welcome.

Ask her. She likely can teach you many techniques to communicate with her. For example: the speech to text feature on a smartphone.
