Is it possible to take pictures of photos and documents with my iphone and send them into my family search so I don't have to scan with a computer? If so, how do I do it?

We suggest you try the Memories App. We are adding a link from a Blog article that has an embedded download link for the application.
According to the Blog article, "Once you have it on your phone you can choose from photos already on your phone, or you can take new photos. Once you have a photo up on your screen, add a title or tag people from your tree. Tagging someone will link the photo to that person on the tree. The new photos will also show up in your FamilySearch Memories Gallery."
