How can I, a newcomer to the indexing, correct incorrect census's which are already indexed?

I did a search for Holcomb on the 1840 Union Co, SC census, came up with nothing, I even tried Halcomb, nothing. So I searched the 1840 census visually (128 pages). I found 8 Holcomb families listed. All were either misspelled in the Index or missing altogether. In fact, I noticed that the index had a lot of missing names. Is there any way I can correct these?

@Jeni Jeni Thank you for offering to help fix errors you found in the index of the 1840 US Census. Those kinds of corrections do not fall under the FamilySearch Indexing projects. But, if you can give us specific URLs to the pages where you see family names missing in the index for the 1840 Census of Union County, SC, we can get that data to a group who can get things fixed.
