Great Irish genealogy website
Since I'm new here perhaps this is old news, but I've just discovered this great web site for Irish research. This gentleman also has Irish research YouTube videos. I only watched a couple, but they were quite useful.

It is "old news", but a very useful post for those of Irish descent. I have used Grenham's site for statistics on surname distribution and inventories of surviving records from different places on many occasions.

A good reminder. What John grenham doesn't know about Irish genealogy....... I aspire to know even some of what he knows.

In John Grenham's blog post of July 2022 entitled "Stiffs R Us" he states that since FamilySearch shared their Ireland Civil Registration Index that his website would be available for free in Family History Centers. Can anyone confirm this and exactly how it can be accessed. Thanks

Haven't heard that although it would be welcome. Must ask a few people

I've asked about but no one can confirm this access to John Grenhams website so I think it might just be a red herring, or its in the early stages of planning.

It appears it is available in Family History Centres. You look for the "premium" sites and his is halfway down or so.
