The death places for Erline Smith are Whitehouse, Marietta, Jacksonville. How do I index this? The PI and Field Help do not mention anything about indexing multiple localities.

@erutherford -- I checked google and found that Whitehouse/Marietta are adjoining suburbs (precincts) of city of Jacksonville, Duval County in Florida so I am inclined to index exactly as written, just as you would for a village or neighborhood within a city in other other USA projects --have a great day 😎

Good evening, and thank you for your question and attention to this detail.

In the Field Help for place of death, it says in the first paragraph to type what you see, even if it doesn't show up in the drop down localities.

Then, in the Project Instructions, under General indexing guidelines, then under the 5th bullet "Place Names", it says that when there are multiple levels of locality, separate them by geographical levels, from smallest to largest, with a comma. In your case you would index the Place of Death as Whitehouse, Marietta, Jacksonville
