Barbados christenings
Regarding cBahristenings in Barbados @ 1700's, on the listing I was looking at almost all the "Parents" listed were only mothers, no father. Why would that be?

If you flip to the page before or the page after, you will find baptisms with 2 parents mentioned.
That page just happens to have several children with only a mother. Possibly unwed mothers.
