I've been having the same problem. You are referring to the Descendancy View, I presume; and instead of the person's ancestors displaying when you click on expand, the spouse's ancestors show.
FamilySearch support staff, aka moderators -- are the engineers aware of this problem?
Attached is a screenshot for an example.

Thank you so much. Yes that is what I see. Instead of my ancestors I see my husbands. I will bide my time and let the experts do their work. I thought I had made a miss step somehow. Thanks again
