I have been indexing the New Jersey Project and am reluctant to continue due to the dates of births listed. My question would be the number before the month, is that an indication of the year of birth?

The date range of 1925-29 at the top of the form is the "contextual" information that allows you to index these dates as 1926 and Trenton as the birthplace.
