This is not for a 1st level tech support. This is for level 2 or someone who can actually do DB queries and verify what I am about to describe, and can resolve the problem:

It appears that starting today (May 1) the number of pages on film DGS 78913448 is varying unexpectedly each time I open it. The film has lost dozens of images This is on your web URL:

https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/1388500?availability=Family%20History%20Library

The film I was viewing (see attached screenshot of the exact file DGS7813448 item1) on April 28-30th had 830 images. Consistently, 830 images were returned every time I opened the film.

Today, May 1, I reopened the same file, and now it shows 767 images, then 772 images, then 752 images. What is going on with the data feed? It is not my computer. I went to another computer and it happens there too. It is not Windows 10, I have tried it on 21h1 and 21h2 with same unstable number of images returned. I tried it in Edge, and in Canary, and in the latest Chrome. I don't think it is the browser.

Could that data be corrupted? Is the database corrupted? I expect the query response to return the same number of images every time (like it did every time I opened it in late April). I just opened the film and now it shows 788.

Can you find out how to fix this?

I am not connected with FamilySearch

Someone else has reported a similar problem https://community.familysearch.org/en/discussion/123503/missing-frames-in-microfilm-viewer

Perhaps @N Tychonievich can direct to the appropriate Department

Yes. Today is May 2, and now the data base is fixed.

I don't know what was done to fix this (because IT never admits to data or programming failures publicly), but I am grateful for fixing your database. There are now 833 consistent images (830 is the last usable image) for film DGS7813348. All are accessible and this issue is resolved.
