I have records on him up to 1835, but then he disappears. I was reviewing his information in hopes that I could find some clue as to where he went

I do a lot of Swedish research so I pay to use ArkivDigital rather than FamilySearch, MyHeritage, etc. Besides "Setterlund", if his surname could also be spelled "Zätterlund" and/or "Zetterlund", I believe I found him at https://app.arkivdigital.se/register-collections/register-posts/r5.p178930606?birth_date=1790-07-10&fuzzy=true&query=Carl%20Z%C3%A4tterlund®ister_collection=28 which shows him in the 1841-1851 Household record for Skede (Al:8 Image 177/Page 153), under the name of Carl F. Zetterlund born 10 July 1790, married to Maja Katrina(?) Magnisdotter(?) (born 1816, I don't know where), with children Carl Gustaf (born 20 September 1836), Frantz Aron Oscar (born 23 May 1844) and Johan Fredrik (born 20 May 1847), all children born in Skede, Jönköpings. You can also, probably, find this record in FamilySearch or MyHeritage.
Good hunting!
Thanks,

Thanks for finding this record. It looks promising. I am seen his name spelled several different ways. This is one of the ways it has been spelled.
It shows they moved out in 1849 but I don't know where. Can either of you read it? Also in the previous book Carl is shown as moving to this area in 1837 but I can't read that either.

ok. I am going to lay it all out. My ancestor, Carl Fredrich Larsson - KHSW-VLX, was born 19 July 1793 in Svennevard, Örebro. In 1795 they moved from Svennevard to Säterbo. His birth date was then changed to 10 July 1793. They are found here.

On that record he is shown as moving Eskilstuna but no year is given. On the move in book for Eskilstuna on 29 October 1814 I found a C F Setterlund moving in from Säterbo. On the same household record he is shown as moving out, his brother Johan is shown as moving to the same place in 1818.

Later they both live together which strengthen my belief that these are the same people

He later marries Anna Maria Lund in Regna which leads to the original household record I sent in with the note that he had a wife and daughter in Regna. I lose him in Eskilstuna.

There is no Carl Fredric born in Svennevad 10 July 1790 nor in 10 June 1790. Is is possible that Karl Fredrik Carlsson Zetterlund the same person? I think there is a possibility.

There is a not in the Husförhörslängd säterbo parish 1805-1814 that Carl Fredrik moved to Näshulta Parish 1813 https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0020556_00052
It could be the same person, its alot that match, but I get comfused when I see Carl Fredriks fathers name... Lars Jansson ( his last name should have been Larsson according to name roul at that time.)

I have this record showing him moving to Näshulta in 1813. In the next record he is shown back with his family and is moving to Eskilstuna.
The last name confuses me as well. That is why I went back to the birth record to see if there was a Carl Fredric I had missed but there wasn't anything.
I would love to find a more solid connection of him leaving Eskilstuna and showing up again in Skede

I am assuming that Zetterlund/Setterlund is a military name. I have never worked with those records. How do I go about checking to see if he was in the military?

1814 Did Carl Fredrik Move from Säterbo Parish to Eskilstuna
Husförhörs längd Säterbo 1814-1822
https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0020557_00068
In Eskilstuna Husförhörs läng 1819-1822 you find him
https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0006132_00145
He moved to Hägerstad parish 1821
He moved to Tjäderstad 1824
He moved to Eskilstuna1828
And it looks like he stayed in Eskilstuna until around 1836 when he moved to Högsby, and then 1837 to Skede
There is a sajt that has information about soldiers in Sweden from around 1650-1900 but its not complet. https://soldat.elektronikhuset.it/soldatregister/search.sv.aspx
But he is not in there, and there is no info anywere why he change his last name, It could be when he moved to Eskilstuna and started his training to work with metall.

This is the same path I took with his records. I am search for the record that shows him between Eskilstuna and Skede. I am praying I find it.
I started Family History in 2011 and I started with this family. He is the only one who I haven't been able to complete the story on.

I haven't been able to find him in Hösby. These two pages might be something but not definitive.
