As far as I am aware, only the person who added the story can edit the story. If you wrote the story, you will see the Edit button just above the title:

If you did not write the story, the button won't be there and you will have to contact the author regarding any concerns you have.

Can you not just reupload it to the story section? And if you don't have it, can't you download then upload?

if items are in the photos section it is because it is an IMAGE file.

If an item is in the document section it is because it is normally a PDF file.

If an item is in the stories section - it has either been typed in or copied and pasted (as a TEXT file_)

    the two/three are not interchangeable.

images are images and text is text

thus you can NOT move an item from Photos to STORIES per se.

You could type it in from scratch to the stories area.

AND there are ways you can LINK stories to photos.

and ONLY the person who uploaded the item can edit it.

but just because an image file happens to be an image of a family story - does NOT mean it belongs in the stories section.

the three different sections allow for grouping things by media type

image files, pdf files, and text files.

Depending on the media - a "family story" could fit into any of the three. and thats fine.
