There is not a space for the spouse. What you would do is make an entry for each person. The spouse would have their own entry.

    Thank you for asking!

Note @ErickaStewart : But, we make an entry for the spouse only if named, and if so, we don't assume the spouse's surname from the other spouse. When you see &spouse or &wife after a name, ignore those descriptors and don't make an entry for them.

Sharing the project instructions might help make this a little clearer:

    • If multiple grantees or grantors were listed for a single transaction, index information about each one using separate entries in the data entry area.
    • Index the names of wives recorded in the "Wife &c" column as a separate grantor. Do not assume the surname of the wife from the grantor column. Do not create a separate entry if only the word "wife" was recorded.

So, after Entry 1, you would create a new record (Entry 2) with Pamela Russell as the Grantee and Cynthia A as the Grantor. We would not index a surname for Cynthia A, but fill in all the other information - year, book, page.

You can add the entries where they belong by using the + icon (7th from the left). With Entry 1 on the screen, click the + icon, select "after the current entry" and click add. You can then toggle over to a blank entry 2 and fill in the wife's information.
