Marriage records question.
On a marriage record where both man and woman have initials instead of first name, and it is not known which is man and which is woman, should it be indexed twice reversing the names.
Example: J C Adams to F G Elliott
Should it be indexed twice as Groom: J C Adams to Bride: F G Elliott
and Groom: F G Elliott to J C Adams?

You just need to index the first name as the groom and the second as the bride. No need to create two indexes. The goal is to allow the researchers to search for names, find the images, and make their own decisions about which is which.
