Unidentified person in a picture
Does FamilySearch offer an option to upload images of people, who I cannot identify?
I have a photo in my granmother's collection that I do not who it is?

Yes, you can upload a picture of persons that you don't know. But please make sure that the person is not living. If the person is living, this could violate privacy terms. You will need to put a topic tag on it such as "grandmother's friend". The best thing that could happen, someone else sees the photo and knows the person!

Thanks. I still am not clear. Are you saying I would place in my Memories? How would others know where to look? There is not a central location for users to to place unidentifed people?
I do not know where to look for others on the site, who may have pictures of people they do not know.

I am sorry if I was unclear. You could place the photo in memories. You could tag it as an example - friends of my grandmother (her name). Then if any one looking at your grandmother's name in memories would look, they might recognize the people. Have you tried getting any help from other relatives to see who is in the photo? Once uploaded, you can copy the web address and then send to your relatives to see if they know who is in the picture. Hope I have been clearer.
There is no place on the site where people go to see unidentified memories.

Is there by any chance another photo, of several people, that has this persons image. If so, you can upload and tag it to your grandmother, or others you know, and leave a comment about the unknown individual, and ask for help naming that person.

Unfortunately, there is not another photo. I don't have many of my grandparents siblings or friends. None for my grandmother.

I would endorse this as a feature request. It would be something like a photo album/folder. The physical photo album usually belonged to someone, or some family. Some of the individuals are known, many are not, especially in a really old photo album.
Currently (2022) anyone looking at an individual's Memories/photo page would see all the photos uploaded - and hopefully note someone they know that has not been identified yet. But does the same thing happen on the Memories page of a tagged individual? Could a visitor to this tagged persons Memories page see that the individual image they were tagged from was part of an associated photo album? And then be able to see the other photos in that digital album?

any memories item shows the albums it belongs to (no matter how you navigated to the item in the first place)
and a person can click on that album name and see ALL the items in the associated album - as long as they are not marked s PRIVATE
but in many cases the person will not tend to know to do that - even though they surely CAN.

my comments just explained how albums can be used to categorize photos.
but, as others have indicated, its not like there is a place in FS where everyone can post "Unidentified photos" - so you will have limited visibility.

I am not sure I am as comfortable uploading a photo to these sites.

using that google link you can find if that same photo has been posted on any other web site,
it is a TOOL to help you search for the photo - not a site where your photo would be permanently stored.
if you had to make a guess - what range of decades would you guess the photos is from?
what concerns do you have about posting it? I see no reason why you would not want to upload it to FamilySearch memories.

If you link it to your (deceased?) grandmother - and added some comments about the lack of identity - then others who navigate to your grandmother's record will see the item and potentially be able to identify it.

I thought I recently read that Familysearch is rolling out a new piece to their website that helps to identify unknown pictures you have and possible relationships with other photos you have uploaded (not the Compare a Face feature).
