-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Other facts that makes this guy difficult:
*No birth certificate, no marriage certificate, no death certificate, no cause of death, no will. Do have Administrator's Bond 8/17/63.
*Settled in the Dot/Keysburg, Logan Co., KY area – right on the Walker Line. That wonderful misdrawn line creating the KY/TN border, where most folks didn’t know which state they were in!
*Settled very near Beverly Anthony Allen (ex-Methodist preacher/fugitive killer/fake doctor) family and other Allens of Beverly’s family but cannot make a connection! His family is in Logan Co., KY in 1794 (Tax List). I have Beverly's & brothers Reuben, Elijah, & William C.'s wills. No mention of Jonas in any.
*There is an Allen Cemetery in Dot, KY where Beverly A. Allen AND Jonas Allen are both supposedly buried. No tombstones. Allen descendants from both families are also buried there.
Places searched:
*Logan Co., KY and Robertson Co., TN (Some in Christian, Todd, & Lincoln Co. according to county creation dates.)
*KY & TN: Tax lists, Census, Circuit Court Minutes, County Court Minutes, Deed Books, Newspapers.com, Ancestry.com, FamilySearch, Find A Grave, (last 3 are NOT CORRECT for parents- I can prove those are wrong), archives, libraries… I have uploaded documents on FamilySearch.
**In the Logan Co., KY Archives, there is a note written by a now deceased researcher. "Jonas Allen family comes to KY from Mass. in early 1800s. Jonas parents were at Paris, KY in 1819 when Christian Church (West) was formed. Parents died Jonas raised by relatives." No one knows any further information about this. I have had no luck connecting Jonas to Paris, KY. I have had no luck finding Christian Church (West).
That's ALOT of information I just typed and I have LOTS more. However, I can't find his parents or siblings. Both of my paternal grandparents trace back to this one man. I can't go any farther back until this is solved. Any help?

Quite a mystery you have there. These ancestors want you to remember them, and you will because your stuck with them.
Re: Beverley the fake doctor,. Maybe he was a real doctor who couldn't uses his license because he was removed, or he didn't finish school but felt he knew what to do. Why did he stop being a Methodist preacher? Maybe he is Jonas uncle, from a sibling, male or female (illigit.) and he took care of Jonas? Beverly should have more than two siblings.
Good luck
