I'm seeing what looks like a check mark in place of a number, what does that mean?

On the last number of a date 192_, instead of a regular number it just has what looks to be a check mark with a handle on it. Is that supposed to be a number or is it a symbol used in place of a number?

Hi Whitney! It is most helpful if you share your batch. This way others can see what you are seeing and provide a better answer. This is how to share a batch: Instructions on sharing a batch

As Melissa stated, it is more helpful to have a share batch to look at to help with your question about the number looking like a check mark. With my experience in indexing numbers, many times the number "2" looks like a check mark the way the enumerator wrote it. I had this same question before so I think that I understand what you are seeing. I hope that this is helpful to you as you indexing other projects and take note of the same thing..
