FamilySearch says the name of my relative contains invalid characters. What do I do?

My relative's name is John P Son LY3W-YMC.

  Hi Carol,

  I went to his page and see that the last name contains an invalid name, Son. I would call the help center at 866-406183 as I don't think there is a way to change it so that the ordinances are made ready.
