What does this mean in a child's birth record? did he die 7 Aug 1799 or what happened to him on that date?

    Please explain ... What is the 'context'?

    Where does such appear?

    In "Vitals" under "Death" field; or, somewhere else - if so, where, in what 'context'?

    Because, you are referring to "Birth" record ...

    I sent a clip of the birth record so you could see the words under his name. I think it means he died but it doesn't say dod as they usually do. I just hoped someone could translate those words. Did something unusual happen with his birth? ArkivDigital: Vittinge (U) C:4 (1790-1854) Image: 6 Page: 2
