Because of the unusual content I am translating this record verbatim :
On the 27th of May, when the night bell rang, was buried without any further burial ceremonies Matthaus Geiger, his age 65 years, who in his illness half fought against [his religion? - word missing] , although he had prayed, he doubted that his prayers had been heard and also the hope for the blessed state to come, because, as he confessed to his biological daughter seven days before his death, that in the 18th year of his age he had twice tried to engage in relations with mindless animals, but did not complete this evil act. when this confession became public after his death it was reported to the honorable Oberamt [County administrative office] in Stuttgart. From there came the directive that he should be buried in the above manner in the church cemetery, and that I, the pastor, should preach a sermon with the theme "penance and warning" using as the text Psalms 32, verses 3, 4, and 5 on the next feast day following [the burial].
Note:
On the 1st of June, eight days after her husband's death, his wife, Barbara Geigerin, also died and was buried on the following day, the 2nd of Junein a Christian manner. Her age 66 years.
