A populated place name is a Road?
I noticed the listing for Whitehall, Muskegon County, Michigan is listed as a "Road". I checked Wikipedia and it should be, well, more than that. Note also that while Whitehall is located geographically within Whitehall Township, it is "administratively separate" which means it isn't the township, I guess. Here are the names and dates for Whitehall.
c. 1859 to 1862 - a populated place named Mears
1862 to 1867 - a populated place named Whitehall
1867 to 1942 = an incorporated village named Whitehall (Village of Whitehall)
1942 to present - an incorporated city named Whitehall (City of Whitehall)

WDan5,
The place type was definitely wrong. We changed the place type of "Road" to the correct place type of "Village" and later "City". Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
